MusicBeam Open Beta

Welcome to the MusicBeam Open Beta!

To gain full access, you will have to sign up for an account first.

You can enter feature requests and report bugs using the "Report Issue" function. Please check if your problem is already listed in "View Issues".

In the "View Issues" section, there might be issues marked with "feedback" to indicate that further feedback from more users is needed to tackle the problem. This is where you can help improve the software. Go to the "Notes" section of the issue and post your experiences with that special bug.

You can download the plugin in the "Downloads" section after logging in.

Get installation and setup info at http://software.bitwaves.de/MusicBeam_Open_Beta.html [^]

To gather more information about how the MusicBeam beta is doing I prepared a short survey at
http://surveys.bitwaves.de/survey.php?sid=28 [^]

Your answers will help to improve MusicBeam and get the next version on track.

Thanks for the support,
MusicBeam Dropouts & Garbage Collector

If you are using Java6_14+ and have problems with dropouts or clicks, you can enable the new G1 garbage collector and see if that resolves your problems. To do that, change the following line in your MusicBeam.ini file.

JVMOption1=-XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC

to

JVMOption1=-XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC

Windows users can find the MusicBeam.ini file in the MusicBeamVST folder, MacOSX users need to right-click the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/MusicBeam.vst file and select "Show Package Contents". The MusicBeam.jnilib.ini file is in the Contents/Resources folder.

Please report your experiences in this issue: http://tracker.bitwaves.de/view.php?id=80&nbn=1#bugnotes [^]
