0000080: Use the G1 garbage collector

Use the G1 garbage collector to stop garbage collection dropouts.

If you are using Java6_14+ and have problems with dropouts or clicks, you can enable the new G1 garbage collector and see if that resolves your problems. To do that, change the following line in your MusicBeam.ini file.
JVMOption1=-XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC
to
JVMOption1=-XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC

Windows users can find the MusicBeam.ini file in the MusicBeamVST folder, MacOSX users need to right-click the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/MusicBeam.vst file and select "Show Package Contents". The MusicBeam.jnilib.ini file is in the Contents/Resources folder.

0000073: dropouts at the end of the loop

Dropouts occurs allways at the end of the loop. For example, if my sequencer is looping from 1.1.1 to 4.4.4, dropouts occurs at 4.4.4, just before looping to 1.1.1

If I switch off the plugin, no more drop outs.

Ableton live (44100) with music beam on master channel.

Sometimes the plugin does not output any audio to the sequencer but its meters indicate its working. This happens especially with the Demo project

MusicBeam should use XML files for persistency and store the chat log seperately

The MusicBeam window should stay open when the native plugin window is closed on MacOS X, as it is the case on Windows

MusicBeam currently does not offer a way to change the volume of the audio coming from the sequencer.

Currently MusicBeam only allows the project samplerate to be 44100Hz

When a project is created there should be a defined sample rate that all users are informed about when logging onto the project.

Sometimes the users do not get logged out correctly on the server so that one cannot log in again.

Especially on OSX, when recording to the server, clicks and dropouts might appear.

MusicBeam sometimes freezes when downloading new chunks, when this happens, the "disconnect" button will lock and the sequencer freezes as well.

When the host is stopped, MusicBeam is still acting as if it was playing. It is then not possible to change record mode and the upload process is not stopping.
